Water Jets are an extremely important part of a successful pond. The Mazzei type jet is one of the most efficient jets used on today's pond designs. It produces approximately 80% of the flow an Eductor creates but it's much smaller in size.
Reducers: These reducers are used to reduce the outlet of the jet line into the pond, which should be 1 1/2 inch pipe, to 3/4 inch female thread. This will now allow an Eductor or Mazzi jet to be screwed into it. The standard 1 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch reducer bushing can be found at some hardware stores and is for use with a 1 1/2 inch bulkhead with threads on liner ponds.
The Special Reducer is designed for gunite or concrete ponds where the 1 1/2 inch pipe for the jets extend into the pond. The pipe is cut off flush with the plaster and then the Special Reducer is tapped into the inside of the 1 1/2 inch pipe.
